King College is pleased to announce Jenn Testa as the new head coach of the softball program.
Testa is no stranger to King College as she just completed her second season as assistant to the women's basketball program, which went to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in 15 years.
Before transferring to King in 2000, Testa played basketball and softball at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She was a four-year starter for the King College Lady Tornado basketball team throughout the 2000-2004 seasons. During this time, she received All-Conference honors and was voted as the Best Defensive Player on the team for three of the four years. Testa served as captain for the Lady Tornado for two of her four seasons. She graduated from King College in 2004 with a degree in behavioral science. In 2005, Testa earned a Master of Business Administration degree from King.
In addition to coaching basketball, Testa also served as the college's Sports Information Director. She was in charge of developing material for the twenty sports programs offered at King while maintaining relationships with local media networks. Previously, Testa gained coaching experience as the Assistant Coach for the Lady Tornado Softball Team in 2006. She helped lead the Lady Tornado to a third-place finish in the AAC and a right to play in the Region XII Tournament for the first time in school history.
King College Athletic Director Dale Burns had this to say about Testa, "I am excited about the leadership she will bring to our softball program. She has a great love for the game, works well with young people, and is a young lady of high character."
Testa played basketball and softball for Upper Arlington High School in Columbus, Ohio. As Team Captain, Testa led her team to the District Tournament finals. She received All-Conference and All-District honors in high school and was the team and District MVP and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
