KANSAS CITY, Mo- The National Association of Intercollegiate
Athletics (NAIA) is proud to announce the 2007-08 scholar teams. NAIA
student-athletes around the country work diligently throughout the year
for academic excellence at their respective institutions. This year
over 750 teams earned at least a 3.0 team grade point average (on a 4.0
scale) during the 2007-08 academic year, as defined by its institution.
The NAIA announced that three AAC teams are honored as NAIA 2007-08 Scholar Teams! Two volleyball and one women's tennis teams were honored.
Covenant and King Colleges were the two volleyball teams and Tenessee Wesleyan's women's tennis team were honored.
Union College's Swim and Dive team (non AAC sport) was also honored.
