Week 10: AAC Basketball Players of the Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Coby Jones of Johnson and Jenna Blakley of Kentucky Christian are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Week.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the 10th edition of the awards for the 2021-22 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Jan. 24.

AAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Coby Jones - Johnson - Senior - Hampton, Tenn.

• Averaged 31.7 points per game as Johnson went 1-2 last week.
• Scored 40 points in a 94-89 win over Point, hitting 15-of-24 shots from the floor and was 3-of-5 from 3-point range.
• Had 23 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals on the week as well.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Jenna Blakley - Kentucky Christian - Sophomore - Zionsville, Ind.

• Averaged 24.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game in helping Kentucky Christian to a 3-0 record.
• All 3 games were on the road.
• Netted 30 points in a 93-88 win at Columbia International.
• Also had 24 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks.
• This is her first weekly honor of the season.
