Week 7: AAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Mike Wade of Montreat and Zach Smith of Columbia are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week.
The league announced the awards on Monday.
This is the seventh edition of the awards for the 2025-26 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Jan. 12.
AAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Mike Wade - Montreat - Senior
- Pulled down 7 defensive rebounds, stole 4 balls in a 78-65 win over Union Commonwealth.
- Had 7 points and 10 rebounds.
- Also dished out 2 assists.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Zach Smith - Columbia - Freshman
- Averaged 23.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in helping Columbia to a 2-0 record.
- Shot 77.3 percent (17-of-22 shots) from the field.
- Added 5 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
