Week 2: AAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Rylee Brendlinger of Tennessee Wesleyan and Aava Downey of Tennessee Wesleyan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2026 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 23.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Rylee Brendlinger - Tennessee Wesleyan - Senior
- Went 2-1 in goal for the Tennessee Wesleyan.
- Recorded 20 saves on the week.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Aava Downey - Tennessee Wesleyan - Freshman
- Tallied 8 goals and 6 assists as TWU went 2-1.
- Against Huntingdon, she collected 5 goals and 5 assists.
- Had 3 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers on the week.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
