Week 6: AAC Women's Outdoor Athletes of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Myesha Hall of Truett McConnell and Emma Johnson of Columbia International are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Outdoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the sixth and final edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Myesha Hall - Truett McConnell - Junior
- Collected NAIA 'A' Standards in the long jump and triple jump at the Electric City Invite.
- Won the long jump with a leap of 6.29 meters, hitting the U.S. Olympic provisional mark.
- Was fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.80 meters.
- This is her fourth weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athletes of the Week
Emma Johnson - Columbia International - Graduate Student - Clover, S.C.
- Collected NAIA 'A' Standards in the 100, 100 hurdles, and 200 at the Electric City Invite.
- Won the 100 (11.80) and 200 (24.49).
- Was third in the 100 hurdles (14.26).
- Helped set the program record in the 4x400 with a time of 4:36.37.
- This is her second weekly award this season.
