Week 4: AAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Madison Kitson of Brenau and Shelby Brown of Montreat are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the fourth edition of the weekly honors for the 2026 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 13.
AAC Track Athlete of the Week
Madison Kitson - Brenau - Sophomore
- Placed second in the 400 at the UWG Legends Invitational
- Leads the AAC in the event by 2 seconds and is 14th in the NAIA.
- Posted a time of 56.54, and is 0.09 seconds off the NAIA 'B' Standard.
- This is her second weekly award this season.
AAC Field Athletes of the Week
Shelby Brown - Montreat - Junior
- Won the hammer throw at the Tornado Classic with a school-record toss of 40.79 meters.
- Finished seventh in the discus with a throw of 24.13 meters.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
