Week 8: AAC Football Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Jackson Wasik of Kentucky Christian is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Football Offensive Player of the Week, while Jeff Flowers of Pikeville and Maurice Davis of Pikeville are the Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
The league announced the awards on Monday.
This is the eighth edition of the awards for the 2025 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 27.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Jeff Flowers, Pikeville - Graduate Student
- Had 3.0 sacks and 4 tackles for a loss in a 62-10 win over Point.
- The 3.0 sacks are tied for second-most in league history.
- The sacks went for a loss of 17 yards with the 4.0 tackles for a loss went for 22 yards.
- Had 7 total tackles with 6 solo stops.
- Also forced a fumble.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Jackson Wasik - Kentucky Christian - Sophomore
- Passed for 408 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 35-27 win over NCAA Division II Central State (Ohio).
- Completed 60.4 percent (29-of-44) of his passes.
- Rushed for 64 yards on 13 carries.
- This is his third weekly honor of the season.
AAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Maurice Davis - Pikeville - Freshman
- Returned the opening kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown in a 62-10 win over Point.
- The kickoff return is the second-longest in league history.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
