2020-21 Men's Golf All-Conference Team Announced
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced the 2020-21 Men's Golf All-AAC Team and Awards, and Ryan van der Kils of Point is the Player of the Year.
The All-AAC Team has five on the first team and five on the second team. To make the all-conference team, a player must be ranked in the top in the conference based on the Golfstat adjusted score averages. The top five earn first-team honors, and the next five earn second-team honors. In addition to the second-team members, any player that finishes in the
top 10 at the direct qualifier who is not on the list of top 10 players will be added to the second team all-conference.
Joining van der Kils on the first team are Ruan Pretorius of Point, Cole Stevens of Point, John Houk of Tennessee Wesleyan, and Trevor Poole of Point. Making the second team are Eric Wower of Point, Chris Whitney of Reinhardt, Jake Montgomery of Columbia International, Nate Thornton of Truett McConnell, Michael Osborne of Truett McConnell, Brooks Gineris of Reinhardt, and Chanc Willis of Reinhardt.
With Point winning the 2021 championship, Shannon Lipham of Point is the Coach of the Year.
