Scoleri, Stowell Earn NAIA Players of the Week Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) swept the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week with Michael Scoleri of Reinhardt earning the defensive award and Ryan Stowell of Keiser collecting the offensive honor.
Scoleri led the fourth-ranked Eagles to a win over No. 6 Cumberlands last week.
Scoleri, from Woodstock, Ga., made 10 saves to beat the Patriots last week, running his total in two games this season to 22.
He's now 2-0 on the season after the 13-5 win over UC after also beating Lawrence Tech late last month.
The Eagles return to action Saturday at 4 p.m. ET, hosting Tennessee Wesleyan in Waleska, Ga.
Stowell scored seven of the second-ranked Seahawks' 36 goals in a pair of double-digit wins last week.
Stowell, from Wellington, Fla., continues to lead the Seahawks in scoring as KU picked up a pair of conference wins last week. He opened the week with four goals and two assists at Point (Ga.) in a 19-5 win for the Seahawks.
He followed that up with three goals and two assists at Life (Ga.), as Keiser defeated the Running Eagles, 17-7. With the pair of hat tricks on the week, Stowell has totaled three this season and 10 for his career. He converted 50.0 percent of his shots into scores. On the year, Stowell is averaging 5.00 goals per game and 6.33 points per game.
Keiser is 3-0, and the Seahawks' next game is Thursday (March 19), hosting Columbia (S.C.) in West Palm Beach.
