Week 3: AAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Ryan Stade of Montreat and Matt Murphy of Tennessee Wesleyan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the third edition of the weekly honors for the 2026 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 2.
AAC Track Athlete of the Week
Ryan Stade - Montreat - Senior
- Placed fourth in the 3000 at the Hokie Invitational, registering an NAIA 'B' Standard.
- Posted a time of 8:22.89, which is tops in the AAC and fifth in the NAIA.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Field Athletes of the Week
Matt Murphy - Tennessee Wesleyan - Freshman
- Won the triple jump at the Centre Indoor Showcase.
- Registered a leap of 13.72 to win by 2.09 meters.
- Also won the 200 dash (22.48) and was fourth in the 60 dash (7.09).
- This is his first weekly award this season.
