Two Individual Championships Highlight AAC Results at NAIA Men's Outdoor Championships
MARION, Ind. - Five different Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) schools registered points at the 2025 NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship, which was held at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind., on May 21-23.
Milligan led the AAC contingent with 20 points to finish 13th overall. The Buffaloes scored two individual national championships to amass their points.
Milligan's first championship came in the 4x800 relay. The quartet of Carter Windham, Bryn Woodall, Luis Peralta, and Sylas Chambers won the event in 7:30.14.
Woodall collected Milligan's other individual crown in the 1500, crossing the line in 3:41.93.
Here is where the rest of the AAC teams placed:
- Columbia International - tied for 34 (8 points)
- Columbia - tied for 48th (5 points)
- Reinhardt - tied for 52nd (4 points)
- Montreat - tied for 62nd (2 points)
Those finishing in the top eight of an event earn NAIA All-American honors. Joining Woodall and the Milligan 4x800 relay team on this list are:
- Andrew Paolozzi (Reinhardt) - fifth in the hammer throw, 59.84 meters
- Dorde Racic (Columbia) - fourth in the 5000 race walk, 21:16.88
- Ryan Stade (Montreat) - seventh in the 5000, 15:38.48
- Deandre Leith (Columbia International) - second in the shot put, 18.29 meters
