Reinhardt, St. Thomas Occupy NAIA Top 15 Spots; Webber Receives Votes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) teams received votes in the 2024 NAIA Men's Volleyball Coaches' Top 15 Poll.
The poll was announced on Wednesday.
Reinhardt leads the way with 98 voting points to land at No. 14. St. Thomas cracked the top 15 at No. 15 with 53 voting points. Meanwhile, Webber International picked up nine points to land eight spots outside the top 15.
Rating Methodology:
- The rating was rated by a panel of head coaches. There are two coaches representing each of the conferences/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated groups.
- The Top 15 is determined by a points system based on how each rater rates the best teams. A team receives 20 points for each first-place vote, 19 for second-place, 18 for third-place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ratings for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) are removed. The team's rating will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the team appears on.
- Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered "receiving votes".
