Week 2: AAC Men's Volleyball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Serano Keijl of Life is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Jan Burhardt of Life and Riley Chapman of Life are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.
The league announced the awards on Monday.
This is the second edition of the awards for the 2024 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 16.
AAC Attacker of the Week
Serano Keijl - Life - Sophomore
- Helped Life to a 2-1 record.
- Averaged 4.31 kills per set and posted a .262 hitting percentage.
- Posted 20-plus kills twice with a high of 22 in a 3-1 win over Truett McConnell.
- Served up 1 ace on the week.
- Had 56 kills, 12 digs, and 3 blocks.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Defender of the Week
Jan Burhardt - Life - Freshman
- Averaged 1.23 blocks per set.
- Logged 16 total blocks with a high of 6 in a 3-2 win over Brescia (Ky.).
- Also had 22 kills and 4 digs.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Setter of the Week
Riley Chapman - Life - Graduate Student
- Averaged 8.08 assists per game.
- Posted 105 assists on the week.
- Recorded a high of 41 assists in a 3-1 win over Truett McConnell.
- Had 24 digs, 3 kills, 2 aces, and 4 blocks on the week.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
