Week 5: AAC Men's Volleyball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Michael Marsans of St. Thomas is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Jan Burhardt of Life and Rafael Obrusnik of St. Thomas are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.
The league announced the awards on Monday.
This is the fifth edition of the awards for the 2026 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 9.
AAC Attacker of the Week
Michael Marsans - St. Thomas - Graduate Student
- Had 28 kills on the week and posted a hitting percentage over .500 in both matches
- Logged 21 kills and a .600 hitting percentage in a 3-2 win over Bluefield.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Defender of the Week
Jan Burhardt - Life - Freshman
- Averaged 1.89 blocks per set.
- Had 9 total blocks in a 3-1 win over NCAA Division II Edward Waters (Fla.).
- Had 17 total blocks, 27 kills, a .478 hitting percentage, 7 aces, and 5 digs.
- This is his third weekly honor of the season.
AAC Setter of the Week
Rafael Obrusnik - Junior - St. Thomas
- Had 68 assists on the week as St. Thomas went 2-0.
- Logged 41 assists in a 3-2 win over Bluefield.
- This is his second weekly honor of the season.
