Terry Wins Individual National Championship; LIfe Finishes Second
WICHITA, Kan. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) was well represented at the 2026 NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championship, which was held March 5-7 at the Heartland Credit Union Arena in Wichita, Kan.
Seven teams registered points, with Life leading the way with 166 to finish as the NAIA National Runner-Up. Southeastern placed sixth with 79.5 points, Keiser was 19th with 27 points, Reinhardt finished 25th with 20 points, and Montreat was 38th with eight points. St. Thomas (6.5 points) and Truett McConnell (3.5 points) rounded out the field in 40th and 44th, respectively.
Douglas Terry of Life was the lone national champion from the AAC, winning the 157-pound class.
In all, 18 wrestlers earned NAIA All-American honors, with Life leading the way with 11. The honorees are:
