AAC Women's Basketball Awards Announced
WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference announced the 2025-26 Women's Basketball All-AAC Team and Awards on Tuesday.
Semaj Clark of Milligan is the Player of the Year. Jaidy Mejia-Andrade of Pikeville is the Defensive Player of the Year, Caylie Long of Brenau is the Newcomer of the Year, and Anika Stehbens of Pikeville is the Freshman of the Year. Kylie Greer of Milligan is the Coach of the Year.
The awards were voted on and selected by the women's basketball coaches of the AAC.
Clark led the league in scoring with a 17.3 points-per-game average and rebounding at 9.1 per game. She also dished out 99 assists on the season and had 52 steals.
Mejia-Andrade led the AAC in blocks with 57 and is third in rebounding at 8.0 per game. She averaged 6.4 points per game and had 39 assists and 30 steals.
Long averaged 14.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game to go with 52 steals, 28 assists, and 22 blocks.
Stehbens is third in the AAC in scoring, averaging 16.2 points per game. She averaged 4.4 rebounds per game and dished out 69 assists. Stehbens also logged 42 steals and blocked eight shots.
Greer guided Milligan to a 19-1 conference record, earning the Buffaloes the regular-season championship and the No. 1 seed.
Twelve players earned a spot on the All-AAC First Team, with 12 making the second team. There are 10 members of both the All-Freshmen and All-Defensive Teams. Dozens of players made the grade to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, while 13 were named to the Champions of Character Team.
