AAC Women's Golf All-Conference Awards Announced
WALESKA, Ga. - The 2024-25 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Golf All-Conference Team and awards were announced recently following the championship meet.
Kate Castle of Milligan hauled in the most accolades as she was named the Player of the Year to go along with making the All-AAC First Team and earning Medalist honors at the championship tournament. Castle also collected All-Academic Team honors.
Castle earned Player of the Year honors after posting the lowest combined score in fall and spring conference tournaments.
Joining her on the All-AAC First Team are Martha Sanchez of SCAD Atlanta, Audrey Grace Holder of Truett McConnell, Renee Crooks of Pikeville, and Sylken November of Truett McConnell. Earning second-team honors are Carly Crooks of Pikeville, Holly Lau of SCAD Atlanta, Brianna Bassett of Truett McConnell, Gracie Doke of Truett McConnell, Catalina Easley of Milligan, and Lauren Holmes of Pikeville.
Easley is the Freshman of the Year, and Andres Gotta of SCAD Atlanta is the Coach of the Year.
Eight landed a spot on the Champions of Character Team, while dozens made the All-Academic Team.
