Week 2: AAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Emma Rittman of Cumberlands and Bella Ricchiazzi of Cumberlands are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 6.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Emma Rittman - Cumberlands - Freshman - Pickerington, Ohio
- Recorded 11 groundballs and won 6 draw controls in helping Cumberlands defeat No. 10 Siena Heights 22-1.
- Caused 6 turnovers.
- Scored 4 goals and had 1 assist.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Bella Ricchiazzi - Cumberlands - Senior - Framingham, Mass.
- Tallied 6 goals and 3 assists in helping Cumberlands defeat No. 10 Siena Heights 22-1.
- Notched 7 points in the first half, including the first 2 goals of the game.
- Had 4 groundballs and 5 caused turnovers on the week.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
