Week 3: AAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Emma Rittman of Cumberlands and Kate Gauntlett of Montreat are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the third edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 13.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Emma Rittman - Cumberlands - Freshman - Pickerington, Ohio
- Recorded 29 draw controls and 12 groundballs in helping Cumberlands to a 3-0 record on the week.
- Caused 9 turnovers.
- Scored 8 goals and had 2 assists.
- This is her second weekly award this season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Kate Gauntlett - Montreat - Senior - Dawsonville, Ga.
- Tallied 14 goals and 9 assists in helping Montreat to a 2-0 record on the week.
- Collected 7 goals and 5 assists in a 19-5 win over Truett McConnell.
- Added 7 goals and 4 assists in a 17-13 win at Tennessee Wesleyan.
- Had 9 groundballs, 1 draw control, and 3 caused turnovers as well.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
