Week 6: AAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Emma Rittman of Cumberlands and Jillian Mello of Reinhardt are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the sixth edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 3.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week

Emma Rittman - Cumberlands - Freshman - Pickerington, Ohio

• Helped Cumberlands to a 2-0 record on the week.
• Caused 3 turnovers.
• Had 3 groundballs and 10 draw control.
• Won 21 draw controls.
• Scored 5 goals and had 1 assist.
• This is her third weekly award this season.

AAC Offensive Player of the Week

Jillian Mello - Reinhardt - Senior - Freeport, N.Y.

• Amassed 11 total points in a 27-2 win over Tennessee Wesleyan.
• Posted 6 goals and 5 assists in the win.
• Had 5 groundballs and 2 caused turnovers as well.
• This is her first weekly award this season.
