Week 8: AAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Olivia McCarrell of Cumberlands and Bella Ricchiazzi of Cumberlands are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the eighth edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 17.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Olivia McCarrell - Cumberlands - Junior - Sevierville, Tenn.
- Made 14 saves and had a .583 save percentage as Cumberlands went 2-0 on the week.
- Logged 12 saves in a 16-6 win over No. 4 Life.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Bella Ricchiazzi - Cumberlands - Senior - Framingham, Mass.
- Amassed 19 total points in helping Cumberlands to a 2-0 record.
- Posted 13 goals and 6 assists.
- In a 16-6 win over No. 4 Life, she tallied 7 goals and 3 assists.
- Had 3 groundballs, 1 draw control, and 5 caused turnovers on the week.
- This is her third weekly award this season.
