Week 9: AAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Emma Rittman of Cumberlands and Aleyah Belton of Cumberlands are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the ninth and final edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week

Emma Rittman - Cumberlands - Freshman - Pickerington, Ohio

• Notched 11 draw controls, 4 groundballs, and 2 caused turnovers in a 24-5 win over Thomas More (Ky.).
• Added 5 goals and 1 assist in the win.
• This is her fourth weekly award this season.

AAC Offensive Player of the Week

Aleyah Belton - Cumberlands - Sophomore - Dallas, Ga.

• Amassed 4 goals and 4 assists in a 24-5 win over Thomas More (Ky.).
• Had 4 groundballs and 2 caused turnovers on the week.
• This is her third weekly award this season.
