Week 3: AAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Mikayla Kimsey of Cumberlands and Grace Wiegand of Montreat are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the third edition of the weekly honors for the 2026 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 2.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Mikayla Kimsey - Cumberlands - Sophomore
- Recorded 15 saves in helping Cumberlands go 2-0.
- Allowed 9 goals on the week and posted a 62.5 save percentage.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Grace Wiegand - Montreat - Senior
- Collected 24 goals and 4 assists on the week.
- Set the NAIA single-game record for goals with 14 against Warren Wilson (N.C.).
- Had 7 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers on the week.
- Registered 14 draw controls.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
