Week 6: AAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Mikayla Kimsey of Cumberlands and Marlo McBrayer of Truett McConnell are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the sixth edition of the weekly honors for the 2026 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 23.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Mikayla Kimsey - Cumberlands - Sophomore
- Recorded 25 saves against a pair of NAIA Top 5 teams.
- Had 13 saves in a 16-15 loss to No. 1 Benedictine (Kan).
- Registered 12 saves in an 18-5 win over No. 5 Life (Ga.).
- Posted a 54.3 save percentage on the week.
- This is her second weekly award this season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Marlo McBrayer - Truett McConnell - Senior
- Tallied 15 goals and 2 assists in helping Truett McConnell to a 1-1 record on the week.
- Had 8 goals and 1 assist in a 23-17 loss to NCAA Division II Lees-McRae (N.C.).
- Collected 7 goals and 1 assist in a 17-10 win over Montreat.
- Had 10 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers on the week.
- Registered 9 draw controls.
- This is her second weekly award this season.
