Georgetown's Diaz Named NAIA Defensive Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Madison Diaz of Georgetown (Ky.) did it all for the Tigers last week in their rout of Truett McConnell (Ga.), earning her NAIA Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Honors.

The senior midfielder not only put away four goals and assisted on two more, but also scooped three ground balls, won 16 draw controls, and was near-perfect in shots on goal, sending five of her six total shots on frame.

The Kennesaw, Ga. native put up a total of six points in the one game last week. Diaz and the Tigers are back in action on April 4 at Reinhardt (Ga.) as they look to make it a three-game winning streak. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. ET in Waleska, Ga.
