Top Seeds Move on to Semifinal Round

WALESKA, Ga. - The top four seeds were all victorious on Saturday, but there was still plenty of excitement in the 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Tournament.

There were three shutouts, two one-goal games, and an overtime thriller.

Top-seeded Truett McConnel defeated No. 8 seed Montreat 2-0 with Annabel Trauschke providing a goal and an assist. Truett McConnell will face No. 4 seed Columbia International, which won 2-0 over No. 5 seed Reinhardt. Mazzie Leos and Charlotte Craver scored for CIU.

Second-seeded Tennessee Wesleyan advanced past No. 7 seed Brenau thanks to a Stina Braun goal in the 67th minute in the 1-0 contest. 

Lauren Hawkley had a big day for No. 3 seed Milligan as she had a hand in all three of her team's goals in the 3-2 win over No. 6 seed Pikeville. Hawkley's second goal was the equalizer in the 86th minute, forcing the game into overtime. She then set up Skyler Miller's game-winner in the 97th minute. 

The semifinal games are set for Tuesday.
