AAC Women's Soccer Awards Announced
WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference announced the 2025 Women's Soccer All-AAC Team and Awards on Thursday.
Annabel Trauschke of Truett McConnell is the Player of the Year, the Offensive Player of the Year, and the Golden Boot winner, while teammates Marisol Esparza and Erin Ward are the Co-Defensive Players of the Year. Stina Braun of Tennessee Wesleyan is the Freshman of the Year, Celiane Pereira of Truett McConnell is the Newcomer of the Year, and David McDowell of Truett McConnell is the Coach of the Year.
The awards were voted on and selected by the women's soccer coaches of the AAC.
Trauschke leads the AAC with 17 goals and 43 points and is second in the league in assists with nine. In conference play, she collected 13 goals in 12 games.
Esparza and Ward, both defenders, anchored a stingy Truett McConnell defense that recorded nine shutouts in conference play, allowing only four goals and 22 total shots on goal.
Braun collected nine goals and five assists for 23 points in conference play, helping Tennessee Wesleyan to a second-place finish.
Pereira logged three goals and four assists for 10 points in conference play for Truett McConnell.
McDowell guided Truett McConnell to a 13-0-0 regular-season conference record, earning the team its fourth consecutive regular-season championship.
Fourteen players earned a spot on the All-AAC First Team, with 14 making the second team. Dozens of players made the grade to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, while 11 were named to the Champions of Character Team.
