Three Meet Records Set as Milligan Continues to Lead Men's, Women's Title Chases
KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Three meet records were set on Day 2 of the 2026 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's and Women's Swimming Championship Meet on Friday.
The three-day event is being held at the Kingsport Aquatic Center in the HMG Competition Pool in Kingsport, Tenn.
There was one records set in the relay events and twp individual records. The new marks are:
- Women's 100 Butterfly - Abigail Maniace (Milligan), 57.44* (set in the prelims, won the finals with a time of 57.54)
- Women's 100 Backstroke - Sophie Bell (Brenau), 57.08
- Men's 400 Medley Relay - Milligan (Smith, Robert Adam, Haenel, Fry), 3:21.98

In the men's team competition, Milligan leads with 700 points, with Tennessee Southern (350 points) in second. Rounding out the field are WVU Tech (298 points), Columbia (190 points), and Pikeville (138 points).
In the women's team competition, Milligans has 638 points, with Brenau sitting at 451. Columbia (230 points) is third, while Tennessee Southern (147 points), Pikeville (136 points), and WVU Tech (70 points) make up the rest of the field.

The action concludes on Saturday with the prelims at 9 a.m. ET. The finals will be 4 p.m. ET. However, the 1650 freestyle will be raced at the end of tomorrow's prelim session.
