Week 1: AAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Aja Rushing of Columbia and Doreshia McAllister of Columbia are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the first edition of the weekly honors for the 2026 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Jan. 19.
AAC Track Athlete of the Week
Aja Rushing - Columbia - Freshman
- Finished second in the 800.
- Registered a time of 2:34.9.
- This is her first weekly honor this season.
AAC Field Athletes of the Week
Doreshia McAllister - Columbia - Junior
- Placed third in the weight throw at the Gamecock Opener.
- Recorded a throw of 13.9 meters.
- Competed against mainly NCAA Division I and II opponents.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
