Week 3: AAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Heather Murphy of Montreat and Grace Clemens of Tennessee Wesleyan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the third edition of the weekly honors for the 2026 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 2.
AAC Track Athlete of the Week
Heather Murphy - Montreat - Sophomore
- Finished third in the 3000 at the Hokie Invitational.
- Earned an NAIA 'A' Standard with a time of 9:46.40.
- Beat 17 NCAA Division I athletes.
- Ranks third in the NAIA in the 3000.
- This is her first weekly honor this season.
AAC Field Athletes of the Week
Grace Clemens - Tennessee Wesleyan - Sophomore
- Placed second in the long jump at the Centre Indoor Showcase.
- Her distance of 5.45 meters leads the AAC.
- Also placed second in the 200 dash (26.42) and fourth in the 60 dash (8.11).
- This is her first weekly award this season.
