Week 4: AAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Aubrey Bahner of Montreat and Emma Barnes of Montreat are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the fourth edition of the weekly honors for the 2026 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 9.
AAC Track Athlete of the Week
Aubrey Bahner - Montreat - Graduate Student
- Finished fifth in the 3000 at the Tryon Banked Invitational.
- Posted a time of 10:32.68.
- Was the top NAIA finisher in the event, as 3 NCAA Division I runners and 1 NCAA Division II competitor placed ahead of her.
- This is her first weekly honor this season.
AAC Field Athletes of the Week
Emma Barnes - Montreat - Senior
- Topped 5 NCAA Division I athletes in the shot put with a toss of 10.65 meters.
- Also ran the 200 (26.80) and the 4x400 relay (4:19.65).
- This is her second weekly award this season.
