Hall's Dual All-American Honors Highlights AAC's Showing at NAIA Women's Championhips
MARION, Ind. - Myesha Hall of Truett McConnell led the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) contingent with two All-American honors at the 2023 NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship.
Hall scored two top-eight finishes this week, placing third in the long jump with a leap of 5.84 meters and finishing sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.17 meters.
In all, the AAC collected 10 NAIA All-American honors. Joining Hall are:
- Aniecia Goss, Tennessee Wesleyan - sixth in the long jump (5.68 meters)
- Katilyn Babb, Truett McConnell - eighth in the javelin (42.58 meters)
- Izabelle Trefts, Columbia - second in the 5000 race walk (24:40.04)
- Victoria Heiser-Whatley, Columbia - fifth in the 5000 race walk (27:17.14)
- Ainhoa Colino, Columbia - sixth in the 5000 race walk (27:40.82)
- Jessica Heiser-Whatley, Columbia - seventh in the 5000 race walk (27:40.97)
- Jessica Gakeri, Montreat - seventh in the triple (12.12 meters)
- Ellen Mary Kearney, Milligan - eighth in the 1500 (4:35.70)
In the team competition, Columbia led the way by finishing 14th with 17 points. Truett McConnell ended up 28th with 10 points, while Tennessee Wesleyan was 51st with three points, Montreat 54th with two points, and Milligan 61st with one point.
