AAC Collects 8 All-Americans at NAIA Women's Track Championships
MARION, Ind. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) saw eight earn NAIA All-America status at the 2024 NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet.
The meet was hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind., on May 22-24.
In the team competition, Columbia International led the AAC contingent with 14 points to place 15th with Columbia placing 27th with nine points. Truett McConnell and Montreat each tied for 53rd with two points.
The top eight finishers in each event earn NAIA All-America status. Emma Johnson of Columbia International earned multiple NAIA All-American honors, collecting a total of four.
Here are the NAIA All-Americans from the AAC:
- 100 - Emma Johnson (Columbia International), fifth - 11.63 seconds
- 100 Hurdles - Emma Johnson (Columbia International), sixth - 13.90 seconds
- 200 - Emma Johnson (Columbia International), eighth - 24.04 seconds
- 4x100 Relay - Columbia International (Morgan Johnson, Emma Johnson, Charlette Johnson, Trinyty Gregory), third - 45.36
- 10,000 - Ali Ray (Montreat), seventh - 36:53.77
- 3000 Race Walk - Jessica Whatley (Columbia), sixth - 26:04.74; Victoria Whatley (Columbia), eighth - 26:31.85
- Long Jump - Myesha Hall (Truett McConnell), seventh - 5.79 meters
- Triple Jump - Mackenzie Pringle (Columbia), fourth - 12.57 meters
