Week 2: AAC Women's Volleyball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Abigail Brown of Johnson is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Marissa McMahon of Johnson and Ashlynn Barnes of Reinhardt are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.
The league announced the awards on Monday.
This is the second edition of the awards for the 2025 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 8.
AAC Attacker of the Week
Abigail Brown - Johnson - Graduate Student
- Helped Johnson to a 4-0 record.
- Averaged 4.14 kills per set and posted a .354 hitting percentage on the week.
- Logged 18 kills and had 4 digs in a 3-2 win over Georgetown (Ky.).
- Posted 58 kills, 1 assist, 4 aces, 9 digs, and 6 blocks on the week.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Defender of the Week
Marissa McMahon - Johnson - Senior
- Averaged 6.07 digs per set.
- Posted 85 digs in 14 sets.
- Registered 33 digs in a 3-2 win over Georgetown (Ky.).
- Also had 20 assists and 5 aces.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Setter of the Week
Nathalia Quintero - Brenau - Junior
- Averaged 5.87 assists per game in helping Reinhardt to a 3-1 record on the week.
- Posted 31 assists in the 3-1 win over Point (Ga.).
- Notched 2 double-doubles in 4 matches.
- Had 88 assists, 3 kills, 3 aces, and 33 digs on the week.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
